PET Cylinder Phantom acc NEMA NU2-2007

PETCylinderNEMANU2
One purpose of the test procedure based on the PET cylinder phantom is to measure the relative system sensitivity of positron emission tomographs to scattered radiation. Another purpose is to measure the effects of system deadtime and the generation of random events at several levels of source activity. The phantom used for these purposes is a polyethylene cylinder of 700 mm length and 200 mm outside diameter.
